Anna-Lisbeth Shackcloth and James Cusick, combine the disciplines of Architect, Passive House Designer and Heritage Specialist to create a practice that designs high quality, exciting architecture with an emphasis on what is best for the client, the site and a building’s historic context, as well as for the planet.

We specialise in design focused, high quality architectural design services. We aim to create beautiful and functional spaces for our clients, from extensions to existing homes to brand new builds. We will work closely with you to ensure that your vision for your space becomes a reality.
James has over 20 years of experience working with historic buildings and can provide expert advice for listed or historic buildings, as well as projects in conservation areas. We investigate the history of buildings and their surrounding context to make sure that any project takes into account protects the history of the building while also preparing it for the future. We can incorporate this with our design expertise to work with you as Architects or work as separate consultants with other Architects.
Sustainability is fundamental to the future. Anna is a certified Passive House Designer and is currently studying a masters in sustainable buildings. We can work with you to incorporate sustainability measures into your project that will help to reduce your energy use and make your home more sustainable. Working on retrofit to existing buildings as well as new low energy buildings. We will always try to use natural materials to create healthier and more sustainable environments for clients. We also combine our expertise to provide advise on making historic buildings more sustainable.
